Biography

Originally from Evanston, Illinois I graduated from Ripon Collegewith a degree in Economics. After working for large companies in Chicago, I decided to relocate to Madison where I've worked and helped successfully grow several start-up companies.

One of my more exciting professional experiences involved helping DataBeam pioneer standards-based eLearning and eMeeting technologies and their effective use. Later, at Pharmacy OneSource and the University of Wisconsin, I used applications built upon the DataBeam technology to collaborate remotely with co-workers and customers.

For the past fifteen years I have been a Sailing Instructor at the University of Wisconsin Hoofer Sailing Club. I combine face-to-face instruction along with online activities for my students. I enjoy teaching and creating relevant learning experiences for my students.

In 2011, I earned a Master of Education in Instructional Technology that revitalized my skill set with new tools and fresh approaches to using technology.
